My top 5 newborn must haves

This is a list of my top 5 newborn must haves.

1. SLINGS .
They have been a life saver especially in the early newborn reflux days. When you are meant to keep baby upright after a feed for at least 30 minutes it can be hard however the sling helps you to manage your day. Especially when said baby cry’s whenever you put them down. Don’t forget about TICKS if you are going to get a sling .

2. MUSLINS
Some people find these pointless but personally they were really usefully. When J was young you could use them as a bib or to clean up baby sick They were also really handy to use as a bed sheet as the amount of times we had to change them were ridiculous.J also likes to twiddle labels so muslins were handy for this as well.

3.SNUGGLEPOD

J went through a stage of not settling unless he was in someone’s arms. When we found the Snugglepod it was an ideal solution and worth a try.It was handy to put him in when we needed to do something such as eat .

4. COSLEEPING COT
We used a normal cot bed with the side took off pushed against our bed. You can get special co-sleeper cots but we personally couldn’t afford them . I definitely wouldn’t have coped traipsing into another room when J was a newborn and he wouldn’t have settled either so this was the best solution for us. Now he is older he is in a bed in his own room.

5 A SUPPORT NETWORK
This should have been number one really . If your support support is from friends, family or even an internet group ( you know who you are Winking smile ) . Support is the main thing I believe you need to get through those newborn days. I am so lucky that my family are amazing and the support they have given us is unreal.
